It breaks my heart but we need to rehome our 5 year old and 3.5 year old miniature Schnauzers - Tony and Kuro

They were both born in Nago and 1 purchased at Makeman, the other at Happiness pet shop - both were 2 months old when they come home with us.

Tony was named after Anthony Bourdain who she is the reincarnation of - he came to me in a dream, and the next day after deciding to name her Tony, I discovered they share a birthday - June 26. Tony is the life of the party and loves bar hopping, big cities and any adventure with real food and real people. She loves all people and dogs although she can be particular about certain dogs. She's spoiled and won't leave your side. Unless she's outside, she can be a bit annoying on walks as she smells everything and is constantly hunting for new friends.

Kuro, named after Makuro Kurosuke from the Ghibli movies, was born with one extra toe on his kickstand - he will sit with that leg kicked out. He broke a toe at a very young age and it din't faze him. He hobbled along in a cast for a couple months and was healed up and strong as ever. In fact nothing fazes him which is what first attracted me. As all his schnauzer mates were playing, he was just chilling and looked at me as if to say "what's up. I'm just chillin" and that is his fav - opposite of Tony he's not super happy to tag along on adventures but will make the best of it until he returns to his ultimate Happy place - chilling at home. He's so chill and willing to just go along for the ride in fact that he opts to let Tony lead the way. He could (although we don't) walk alongside you with no leash and wouldn't run off.

Tony and Kuro are best friends and haven't been apart more than an hour or so since Kuro (younger) came home with us. They are cuddle bugs and very loyal and sweet and loving and caring.

I'd rather not charge any money, but research says it helps dissuade those not serious, and hopefully will give us a better feeling about who will take them as a part of their family for the rest of their lives. We would like to meet and interview any potential new family, and thoroughly understand you and your situation and feel comfy with your home/family and confident that they will be with you forever.

Again, we hate to do this but with our current career transition and situation in life, we feel it's best for everyone. They have always lived in a small Japanese apartment. I know they are happy at home with us, but at times we've stayed with family or they've stayed at the pet hotel, with a big house and yard, I could see they were significantly happier than they seem at home in the cramped apartment. This is why we'd like to find a nice American family, hopefully with a yard and perhaps with kids who can grow together with them. I imagine them moving together with you and being happy back in the US with wide open spaces for many happy adventures.

Please contact me only if you've considered all above and are confident and serious about this adoption. Preferred if you have had dogs before and are 100% confident about caring for them, feeding them twice a day, and long walks and adventures. They are very active and Tony even likes to swim. I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you and your family.

Respectfully,
Jeff and Shino
