Large Robust Wakizahi Short Sword Edo Period with Family Clan Crest Gold Makie Accent

This rather large and robust (an understatement ! ) wakizashi short sword was made in the Edo period more closely resembles those enormous blades made during the earlier Nanbukocho period. This blade is "Mumei" unsigned and has edo period kodogu parts such as its menuki, fuchi kashira, and tsuba sword guard. A truly unique and magnificent blade.
